Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the insertion of thin needles into various points along the body, causing stimulation at said points, introducing therapeutic and/or preventative results. It is the Chinese who introduced the world to acupuncture over 5000 years ago, and it is in very wide use today.

Acupuncture is based on a belief that through a balanced flow of energy (chi) running through our bodies, our health is determined by this, a life force present in all living things.

The energy flowing through us, the chi, courses inside our bodies along twelve different paths. According to acupuncture theory, these paths, referred to as meridians, all link to designated organs and systems.

The practice of acupuncture is through the insertion of ultra-fine, single use sterile needles. These needles are inserted into certain points of your meridians, controlling and redirecting your flow to help induce a feeling of relief from stress, tension and even pain.
